i am invited to a christmas party where only the boomer host is a bitcoiner (mostly NGU guy, but recognizes the freedom aspect, and tries to slowly teach others.) everyone else will be a boring kind of normie, with no real talents or humor; some dabble in trading bitcoin. last christmas the host got a glass with a bitcoin logo and "I told you so" caption - no one cared.
i was conflicted about whether to go or not to go. on one hand, there will be food, drinks, entheogens, dogs, and a pool for a cold plunge. on the other hand, idk if i can handle the normie talks for very long.
there will also be another christmas party next door to my domicile, with artsy people, a few of whom would be happy to learn about bitcoin. there will be music with live singing. i will definitely attend that one.
all in all, i think the best approach is to show face to the first party, take the cold plunge, have fun, say a few positive things about bitcoin, freedom, sovereignty for sake of planting the seed in their sleepy diseased minds, and leave early to the other party that is more fun and engaging. if i feel defeated after the first one, i will surely get re-energized at the next one.
i really believe that for a normie to meet a bitcoiner away-from-keyboard is a priceless gift. they might not appreciate the experience at the time, and that's ok. they will feel the energy, and as long as i am enthusiastic, i might actually spark a contagion! it helps that there will be one other true bitcoiner, so that i am not the only one. the bitcoin signal:noise ratio at these gatherings should constantly grow.
do u wish u met someone who preaches bitcoin earlier and more than once? i know i wud.
