Are they sure they are not putting the projects in the wrong hands? The Army Corps of Engineers have been at it for a long time and we can see the results. Not good. They have screwed up the environment along the rivers they work on. So, more damage is probably in the works.

I mean, someone has to have noticed this point besides me. I guess they don’t mind wasting our taxes on frivolous things. The damage the Corps does is usually not seen until a big flood season along the Mississippi River. Then it is in full view of everybody.

I used to think highly of the Crops but they have lost their luster as of late

I think they lost most of their luster long ago. Every flood season you see lost luster.

To be fair preparing for a 1,000 year flood is not easy

Yes, but these 1,000 year floods are coming at intervals of about 10 - 15 years. 1.000 year flood is kind of de-exaggerating the frequency of flooding. Then there are the dredging operations that are putting highly polluted bottom sludge on the land and screwing up that land, too.
