while not a movie, i will drop this in here.
i had been putting off watching this for a while because it's a ton of seasons and quite a bit of commitment, plus I'm not really a horror fan so thought i might not like it. plus it;s been going for years and I had never heard of it.
boy was i wrong, not only is it quite surreal, the acting is fucking excellent, the script and writing are fantastic and quite funny in places.
if anyone hasn't seen it, I highly recommend it

i have to say, initially i was skeptical, but i thought she played the part very well. good little plot twist too

season 9 at the moment (1984), i think so far my favorite episode has been Apocalypse, love a bit of doom bunker + all the callbacks to the murder house and the coven
"coven" and "murder house" were the best
i've liked them all, but i especially like anything with Kathie Bates in it, she is such a good actress
