An old mason wanted to retire from his work. So he went to his master and said, "Sir, I want to retire from building this house and spend time with my wife and children."
His master was somewhat saddened by this as he was a most skilled and efficient mason. He said, "Okay, but before you leave, will you help us build just one more house?" The old mason gladly agreed to this proposal.
But after starting work it was found that his mind was not there and he was always thinking about his retirement. He was always thinking of home.
So of all the work he had done before, this work became the worst work he had done.
When he finished building the house, its owner came to see the house and gave the key to the old man and said, "This is your house from now on, my gift to you."
Hearing this, the old man regretted.
He thought to himself, “Oh my, if only I knew once that I was building my own house, it would be the best thing I could do in my life.
Lesson: If we do our every task with importance, then the whole life becomes beautiful.
