he will never run.
Why do you say that?
He has shown no interest in running for office. He is retired and is enjoying his life in California and Florida playing golf.
Maybe if he thought the conservatives didn't have a viable candidate to run but they do.
I wont lie the way he ran the former Arizona Coyotes also gives me pause.... Granted that was a united effort with hella politics involved but they did go bankrupt.
Might he seek redemption?
I mean like grayruby was saying hes comfortable with what he has now and getting to do whatever he wants. Kinda hard to knowingly throw all that away esp for politics where you and your family will get rung over the coals.
If I were him I probably wouldn't either. But with Trump's endorsement, I'd have to imagine, the temptation would probably be very real.
You gotta give this up. As fun as it sounds and is to speculate, it's not happening. Haha.
He's not retired; he is a studio commentator for cable TV hockey broadcasts. He also does ads for gambling apps. He seems kind of hard up for money despite being the greatest hockey player ever; a far cry from his peers like Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman, and Mario Lemieux who have been very successful in their post-playing careers.
So, your argument is because he does TV ads and works part time as a NHL studio analyst that means he will run for Prime Minister?
That I am not sure about but I would expect that if he did it would go about as well as his experience with the Phoenix Coyotes.
they do.
Possibly, but in the event that
Singh doesn't withdraw his support, then Canada is looking at another 4 years of Liberal minority rule; NDP don't really stand a chance of winning, so what would Singh's incentive be?
Plus never under-estimate the allure of power!
There will be an election in October regardless of what the NDP does and the Conservatives will win a majority.
@remindme in 10 months
Yes remind yourself. Conservatives are currently projected to win 225 seats. They need 172 for a majority.
I'm not saying you are wrong, but obviously there is no guarantee. It should be interesting to see it play out.
Gretzky would absolutely win if he ran, he is beloved in Canada, but he will never run.
