I find it much harder to unplug and disconnect these past few years compared to my early 20s. It's so easy to use your phone these days. Whether it's useful or useless, it's just a quick step away from being completely automated. And why should I, I get a lot out of my phone.
I know when I went off the grid for a week or even a month in my early 20s, it felt so recharged and awesome. But do I even want to disconnect these days?
Most of my friends live too far away and the phone is our only connection. I have to use it a lot for work. It's such a nice tool that makes my life easier. Be it Google search, Google maps or notes, calendar, clock, timer, alarm, camera, and on and on.
I admire people who can disconnect. But I don't know if I can and want to.
