I saw him teach Sunday school at his childhood church in South Georgia in 2008. I have no opinion about his presidency, but he definitely had a good reputation afterwards. Very different from any other president and a complete 180 from the current situation.

Jimmy Carter could be known as the ”Great Deregulator”, rather than a middle of the pack president. He did a lot for which the credit went to Reagan. Reagan continued the start of the heavy lifting that Carter did to deregulate most of the transportation industries. So, perhaps he was not so middle-of-the-pack as people tend to think. He started the movement towards deregulation of everything in the market that, perhaps, Trump will continue.
