Poland Spring's (Nestle back then) have been involved in a lawsuit since 2017. Where the plaintiffs claimed the company deceived them into paying more via fraudulent labeling as " 100% Spring Water", when they say the spring in Maine has been dried up since the early 90's.
So, the judge in this case essentially drops the only possible resolution that matters, in the form of new honest labeling and basically says "Well, now that they know the truth, they can just buy different water" but oddly enough doesn't throw the whole thing out.
We should all know by now "bottled water" is the OG of scams and I'm not sure what this case is going to do to for so-called justice but if you want to follow it here's the case: Patane v. Nestle Waters North America Inc, U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, No. 17-01381.
