I'll agree for sure. The matrix was a major impact to me and how I understand things. I would also add, 2001 a space odyssey is another favorite of mine.
It did for me, it was mind opening for sure. I didn’t know if it was my age, but I don’t seem alone.
I've seen so many commentators over the years use the matrix as an explanation tool because before that, we struggled to conceptualise the idea

It was eye opening. Groundbreaking. It's a top ten sci-fi classic.
