They also both rented electronic vehicles for their crimes from the same peer-to-peer rental company (Turo). Both could be coincidences, of course (the latter more likely), but two people who served at the same base making attacks on the same day certainly seems unusual.

It wasn't portrayed as an attack at first -- a lot of the coverage was "Cybertruck on fire in front of Trump hotel" as more of a humor/irony thing, and given the number of Cybertrucks that really have caught on fire, it's understandable.

A core issue with conspiracies is telling the difference between evidence and distractions. It's often only possible looking back afterwards (so it's too soon to tell).
