With Rep. Thomas Massie voting for Rep. Tom Emmer and Rep. Ralph Norman voting for Jim Jordan the House Speaker race will be going to a second ballot. This does not account for those who did not vote at all (they could vote at the end) with the list so far being:
  • Rep. Andy Biggs
  • Rep. Michael Cloud
  • Rep. Andrew Clyde
  • Rep. Paul Gosar
  • Rep. Andy Harris
  • Rep. Chip Roy
This could get ugly pretty quickly if people do not fall in line, as the people voting against and holding out do not have an alternative to offer and are instead trying to make a point. Dragging it out past tomorrow (Saturday) would risk the January 6th requirement to count and thus could end up delaying President-elect Trump from taking office.
If House Republicans fail to get it together then look out America we will get a temp President in PRESIDENT Chuck Grassley
this territory is moderated
He got a majority on the second vote.
