One could describe it as shitcoins backed by bitcoins
Here's a lot to read about them from @Scoresby: https://bitcoinscoresby.com/ecash/

I see. I'm concerned about tech but not as much that I would try these unsecured tokens or nuts (as it's called I guess).
My main motive is to hand everyone something that's bitcoin, that's super convenient, user friendly and doesn't require much tech knowledge.
For now I'm looking into the custodial wallets. Yes, some of them are super handy for smaller amounts but when someone has stacked more, he needs to look beyond them.
All around me, I see people using UPI but when you tell them that they can be their bank, they become afraid of losing money or sometimes they hardly get it, when they are told about Bitcoin, seed phrase, lightning, nodes, etc etc.
By suggesting ecash do you mean Lightning will never be easier for non tech savy or uneducated ones?
If that's so, how can we imagine broader adoption for Bitcoin?
