Indeed, and a working title of my post at one point was "the imaginary vs. the real".  Money illusion is a great way to put it.

I would add some money illusion/real-vs-nominal stuff in there too.  Can't tell you how many times in recent years I've been hammering that point when people complain about the sticker price about some good (even though the FX fell, or their own salaries increased by more, etc).
