I went to a small time gig recently where they made you hand your phones in with security. And it was great! No more watching through someone else's phone screen because they're holding it up and blocking your view, just people enjoying themselves and vibing with the music. I think more venues should do that. May not be practical on a big stadium scale but smaller venues can get back to that intimate feel or fun party feel dependent on the genre. I went to another really little gig for a country artist called Demi Marriner and we were all sat at candle lit tables and glasses of wine just enjoying her music. It was really nice.
