What do you think Trump's track record will look like when his second term ends?
  • Which of his promises/projects will be completed by Nov 2028?
  • Which of his promises/projects will not be completed by Nov 2028?
  • Do you have any predictions for projects he has not yet promised, but that he will surprise us with by 2028?
Beyond raising tariffs, I have no idea.

I think that Canada, France, and Germany will be given more time due to their government elections and Trump will leverage it to promote the party of his choice winning. Mexico has also started breaking up caravans heading towards the border so they might get out of theirs as well if they continue to crack down and if they allow the remain-in-Mexico policy.
China is likely going to be the first one with expanded tariffs.

Canada will become just another state of the USA! Ahahah
reply
That's not fair. It would be an exceptional state.
reply
Who's it unfair to? It could be like an autonomous state! Haha.
reply
Saying it would be "just another state" is unfair to Canada. It would be the largest state by area and second largest by population. Most importantly, it would knock Texas down to third on both measures.
reply
I was joking around! That's absurd! You didn't even consider Canada's vast resources! @grayruby and @kr for example! Ahahah 😂

We’d become your best state immediately. How is this fair?

Do you figure tariffs will be implemented at the currently anticipated rates?
I think it was 25% for Mexico/Canada and 35% for China across all goods?
reply
No idea. He's just such a wildcard on all this stuff.
It wouldn't be a bad idea for your next president (or king or whatever it is Canada uses) to tweet out a picture of him/herself chowing down on a Trump steak, though.

I doubt it'll be anywhere near that high for sustained amounts of time.

10 trillions added to the US debt guaranteed! Or even more to push it to an even 50 trillion, politicians deliver!

He was already president, so we have some basis for analyzing him. Which of the main promises did he fulfill when he was first elected? I remember some and nothing was done... I think I answered the questions about the future of the Donald Trump administration.

I think this presidency will be different. Republicans have a majority in the house, senate, supreme court, and there is a clear cultural shift underway.
reply
We'll see. If this time he doesn't fulfill some of his promises that are relevant, of course, or at least fight for them with all this positive scenario for his governability, he will be characterized to me as a person who only makes bravado and nothing more.

Promises Made = Promises kept
I give it a 51% hit ratio. I’m optimistic.
As for Bitcoin. His sons, Vivek, RFK, and other could push those to a 75% hit rate!

Looking at what is moving in Congress I would say that we will publically see an increase in coverage of deportations. The House passed a piece of legislation to address people convicted of crimes being automatically deported from the US which can easily be used to show the American people things being done.
Tax cuts will be made permanent and this will be in the reconciliation bill likely along with a ban on a CBDC and direct language over BTC being a commodity so the CFTC takes charge in its oversite instead of the SEC.
Nuclear fusion will benefit immensely by the end of his term. It wont be this year but as he replaces people and Congress addresses things like the SMR and Advanced Reactor Demonstration Project the NRC will actually be pushing these out the door rapidly.
I would also bank on seeing a permitting bill of some kind. This could fall into the reconciliation package but I do not think the Senate parliamentarian will allow it but something to cut down on the 10-year timelines projects take. For high voltage transmission to pipelines, there is literally stuff for both sides to highlight here.

I would have placed this post in ~oracle territory. 🤠
I don’t know how to answer your questions, but I found this chart with some information about Trump’s term.

I'd say if 1, 2 n 3 are prioritized, that's a working model and 100% improvement on the previous admin.
