"You have a choice: you can know it's there and resist it or you can let yourself be carried away by it like a battery for THEM".. I would say that the only option to choose is for them to go to hell!!!
We must fight to have our own sovereignty in knowledge and we must also be sovereign in our economy... And if we just let ourselves be carried away we will be sheep on the way to the slaughterhouse...

That was the path for real people! NPCs would take the other branch of the path. The article has a lot of good suggestions for the path for real people.
