Paying taxes is not a social contract, rather it's a political contract
Politicians have ignored the interests of taxpayers in favor of non taxpayers such as homeless and undocumented immigrants in California
How much do bilingual or multilingual signs and ballots and customer service cost taxpayers?
Taxpayers need to start flexing their muscles to remind Sacramento and city hall who is in charge
Paying taxes is no contract at all. Unless you consider a contract where you don't sign but are at the end of a gun a contract. It's simple. It's theft. Don't over think it.

I agree it's theft but the victim has some political leverage.
It's a political not social arrangement.
You can criticize Holmes's statement but he never called taxation a social contract
The author of the article is attacking a straw man

Saying that ignores the fact that regardless of my interaction poltically as an individual the outcome is the same. It's no contract at all. And you called it a political contact. That's not what a contract is. It's something. Just not a contract. It's taxation. It's a form of government but it isn't a contact. That language is an intentional deception to confuse the masses. One might call it a psyop even.
The secret to all of these types of things is to replace the state with a company or individual and ask how that would change things. The view of the state is special. It's a false god that is viewed in ways that rival a diety.
In fact one way to view the Bible is one story arch where man tries to create his own god and God repeatedly mocks and defeats their attempts. From Babel to Revelation.

What good would flexing muscles do? The state is a one-party state and has moved to make it impossible to stop the voter fraud. The Californicated chose this, they voted for it and now they are bending over and getting it good and hard.
This goes to the maxim: Watch out for what you wish, you may just get it!
