One thing that I have wondered but have not looked into is what is their debt situation like? That's one of the key reasons why Puerto Rico hasn't been accepted as a state the freaking debt situation is so bad.

Theoretically if this would happen during Trumps term if would be extremely interesting to see how the Canadian housing market would play out. Last year I learned about how so much of the Canadian economy is propped up by the way that owning a house/mortgages work in the country. Its the reason why housing is so expensive in the major cities and I watched some YouTube videos over it

In fact, I see this situation as absolutely absurd, as I've said before. I don't see Canadians accepting this but it's a good exercise to compare with the states and the more data we have the better.
