hmm. tough question. One is that while the businesses can vary, the principles are often very similar. Both the principles of what TO do, and what NOT to do.
If you are good at building and running a restaurant bussiness, you might well have the necessary ingredients to run a technology company.
It's not ALWAYS the case, but it seems to me that principles (not skills) are applicable across contexts and paradigms.
