This group of hikers were near the origin of the fire. The video (the link has the full video of their descent) suggests it wasn't more than few acres by the time they noticed it. One of the scariest things is seeing how dry the shrubs were on the trail - it's all kindling.

Why are they even up there?
That is asking for trouble.
"dude, let me stop and take a video while the fire comes towards me."
Everyone on twitter is calling for them to be investigated in case this started off as some stunt for social media ...
First off, why would you want to mediate anywhere near there?
All it would take is for one of them to sprain their ankle.
