Hi I get a notification that I will receive 90.5K sats in rewards but end up getting only 156 sats in reality. This mismatch is not the first time this happening. Is this a bug? Apologies in advance if this is a noob question.
90.5k Satoshis? Really? I doubt that. Those 90.5k are actually the total sats in the rewards pool, collected through donations and the 30% fee, which then gets distributed to everyone. But since you mentioned a notification which I’m not aware of because I’ve never received any notification for rewards if you click on that "159 sats in rewards," it should show your rank and explain why you received them.

Hahaha no. The 90.5k sats are the reward pool which is shared by all the users who are qualified to get a reward.
If you click it (https://stacker.news/rewards), you will see your estimated share of the rewards.

In that case, a small suggestion: change the '90.5K sats in rewards' to '90.5K sats in rewards pool' so it is more explicit. Otherwise it can be a little confusing to someone new to Stacker News

You will know from now on I guess that that number is the total to be split among top users. If you were the only active person for the day I guess you would get it all but the number would be heaps less as there is no spend
