My disdain for Ackman motivates me to highlight that (i) he likely did not really bet much of his own money and that (i), against this very good outcome, stands a wall of bets that did not turn out well.

But that's maybe just my bias talking.

It's like Michael Burry who made some good predictions in 2008, and has been milking the enfollowing fame to get a platform where he keeps making predictions that usually fail.
