Anyone migrated from AlbyHub in Umbre to Start9?

Hi, I am considering migrating from AlbyHub in Umbrel to Start9(on more robust hardware). However, I have seen this on their official site, which is slightly concerning.


Is it enough to migrate LND as per the guideline [here]9https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/misc-guides/lnd-migration) on the start9 website to get Alby hub to complete its migration?

My one concern is the reserve sats that are there on Alby Hub, which I have not seen in other places like ThunderHub. I don't want to lose these channels, which I have taken some pains to set up and balance.

I am new to Lightning and only re-joined Lightning in 2025. If any of you have recently migrated and have experience with this, please let me know. Thanks!

I wanted to update you that the migration to Start9 is now complete, and the Umbrel server is shut down. The step was like I called out above but calling it out nevertheless below

Steps:

  1. Click on import from Umbrel under 'Actions' in Start9 while both servers are connected to the same router. This will copy all the Lightning configs. This will also disconnect the Umbrel.
  2. Switch off the Umbrel node to be safe
  3. Run LND on Start9
  4. Run ThunderHub/Lightning Terminal and then Alby Hub
  5. Make various connections to different apps like Stacker News, and other lightning wallets subsequently
