You can fork off all you want, but you won't be compatible with v22 of Bitcoin core, the version I run. As a result, when your node tries to say it is Bitcoin, you will get hit with a very cold reality.

But yes, under circumstances where v22 and before are actually broken and don't work, that's different. You don't have anyone who can disagree with you and you take the main chain by default.
