Yeah I think Hamas was fully pushed to get what they could to end this because Trump was going to let Israel run wild if they felt like it.
I worry about the Phase 2 and subsequent phase 3 since it’ll be after the initial 42 day ceasefire. Plus will Hamas have a strong enough hold on the Strip to prevent Islamic Jihad and other groups from launching missiles, drones, etc into Israel
How much worse could it have gotten for Hamas, though?

Honestly it is hard to think of how it could be but if the lost the support of the Arab world that would have been the end... A Fatwa issued against the leaders would have ruined everything they had left and could have gotten them killed. While the youth were in their good graces the Arab world is what mattered to them and they depended on.

So was there any indication that Trump could have influenced that Arab world to disavow Hamas?
Some say that it's becasue Israel is more afraid of Trump than they were of Biden.

Trump has gotten along well very well with the Arab world... He pulled off the Abraham Accords that got the UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, and Sudan to recognize Israel
Only thing I could see Israel getting worried about with Trump is Trump wanting them to expand and attack Iran
