Agreed
I have just started reading one of a series of books, but it is the third of a trilogy and I have not read the first two. It is a bit confusing because the author is assuming that I have read the first two.

Yes, there is a reason. I went to a used book sale, where the books were unusually cheap and they had a good variety and bough a load of them. I knew the author from other books I had read by him, so I bough this one and several others, since hardbacks were only $2 and paperbacks only $!. I got a whole box full of them. I got about 8 by this author, all that they had! They were from three different series, I found out after researching them. So I only got partials of the several series. I know I can fill the series by going to my favorite bookstore, but I want to read what I have first to see what I would look to buy.

It was a gotcha, but I couldn’t resist the books when I saw them. I have to confess, it was a complete impulse buy. And to top it off, my wife was with me and she did her impulse buying, too.

No, there is no resisting the call of more interesting books. When I go in, I bring a limited amount of money, so I cannot spend too much on them. I love these used book sales where all the books, CDs, DVDs and games are all donated to get rid of them. They are all for sale at the right prices.
