We can't say with surity about the dead writers' mental state while writing, can we say it about contemporary ones?
I mean they all are alike. The work of a writer is to leave us with more confusions rather than a conclusion.
I don't know but all throughout the writing history, writers who wrote about dilemmas, confusions, unseen things became more popular.
