Tennessee Gas Pipeline, a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, will proceed with its Mississippi Crossing Project after securing transportation agreements for all the capacity.
The approximately $1.4 billion project primarily involves the construction of nearly 206 miles of 42-inch and 36-inch pipeline and two new compressor stations.
The project will originate near Greenville, Mississippi, and conclude near Butler, Alabama, with connections to the existing TGP system and third-party pipelines. It is designed to transport up to 1.5 Bcf/d of natural gas and will provide critical supply access sourced from multiple supply basins.
Pending permits and clearances, the project is expected to be placed in service in November 2028.
It looks like energy gets a win today with this project!
Natural gas. This is definitely a win if it isnt going through wildlife to put in the piping. Just hope they weld the pipe well. They also have long term commitments, which means that the project will start paying off right away after they start using it. Very solid planning.
