OFAC sanctions which I understand to mean these transactions are connected to parties on the OFAC sanctions list.

Fifteen OFAC-sanctioned transactions missing from blocks

I took a quick look - I didn't see anything in there, about WHY these transactions would have been sanctioned?

Any clues?
