First off, when so many people are unemployed, do we really have a shortage? Or those that choose not to work in this industry and keep claiming unemployment and welfare? People are moving more towards the trades, its just taking time. Millennial generation was pushed to go to college.

Yeah that is true but it just a geography thing as well I think moving to the job can be hard for some

People will move if they are desperate enough. Imagine if the welfare was cut in half for every year you are on it. Eventually you will want to move and get a job if you needed it.

Working in the trades doesnt pay bad. I know because I am in one of them. I work on high pressure boilers, and there are many people who are retiring.

A lot of the younger generation doesnt want to work with boilers because of the danger. But they are very important for many processes.
