I had a terrible experience with Blockstream Jade Plus. Firstly, I received the device without the air-gapped USB drive I had ordered. Second, and more importantly, my L-USDT funds are stuck. I received 500 L-USDT on an address generated in the Blockstream Green app(and Jade Plus hardware device), but I cannot send it despite having the hardware that generated the private key(and no, I have not forgotten the PIN). I have tried it on multiple mobile devices and my desktop. The same error occurs. When I try to send even $100USDT out of the $500USDT available, I get the error of 'insufficient funds'.
I have raised a support case and will get back to you on whether this issue gets resolved. First impression: This product feels more like a beta product that has been released into production. If I were you, I would avoid it.
Update: I did not realize that L-BTC was needed for fees, and L-USDT would not cover the fees to transfer the L-USDT. This was my first experience with Jade Plus and Green Wallet. I want to retract my statement that this is a beta product. For example, I think the product needs better error message handling and improved UI. For example, the error could have been 'Fee needs to be in L-BTC form and not L-USDT form' instead of 'Insufficient funds, ' which I felt was incorrect. Adam Back responded to my rant on X and helped me uncover the problem. So their support has been quite incredible on the matter! I wish I could edit the original post and reduce the harsh messaging, but I don't have the option. So, if anyone from Blockstream is reading the original post, my sincere apologies for the tone.
