I never paid attention to pop culture so i went from not getting the references to not getting the references. Beside that i can see in the mirror that I am older. No surprise here. I hang out mostly with way younger people now because people my age have children and families and don't leave their homes at all (even those that don't have children don't go out or do much stuff), so i kind of get many of young people's references.
