I'm depositing like 10k sats every other month, and going through them, being generous with Zaps, however I hardly receive any .. whats the catch? how do I get a head on stacking?

I have nothing against you. I don't even know you. People on SN tend to zap posts that they can see a lot of effort went into. Proof of work, if you will. We also don't want this place to be overrun by bots, so we want to disincentivize AI content.

Honestly, I'm not sure. It's hard to tell what people are, or aren't interested in on SN, besides bitcoin.

I've personally tried to focus on building friendships with people and providing interesting, or entertaining content. Beyond that it's difficult to say. Sometimes I make a post that I think is going to be extremely interesting and nobody zaps it. Other times I post something that I'm sure nobody will care about and it gets zapped.

Good response. Forming relationships through substantive comments is the best way to start, if you don't come in with some name recognition.

Scrolling through some of OP's recent activity, it looks like that holds for his/her comments.

First off, it’s good to hear that you’re depositing sats every month. I think we will run into a sat shortage if we don’t keep the sats flowing into SN.

That being said, I think you need to really define what it is you want to be known for on here?

If you have cool and substantive posts, I’m sure people will zap you. If you haven’t found your niche yet, then keep posting quality content and see what response you get, adapt, iterate, and keep going.

Trust the process.

Thank you! maybe you can fill me in on what I"m known for? :) I'm still learning the website and the content that people like to see. I'm also very busy with multiple businesses. it's nothing personal that I can't comment and engage as much I'd like.

Time of day makes a huge difference, most Stackers are in US/CA. Posting during UK/EU hours draws less attention imo.

Personally if I see just a link and no meat on the bones, like basically zero effort, I probably wouldn't pay it much attention.
