He got a good amount of playing time down the stretch last year and played well. I don't think he will start at second with them acquiring Giminez but I expect Bichette will likely be traded at some point and if not he is leaving as an FA so Giminez will slide over to SS and Wagner will be the starting 2B.
I saw somewhere that he might be playing left field which if true I could only assume would be due to his offense cause unless y'all have a Houston-like left field its not really close to second base!
I'm trying to remember but I think the “knock” against him with those positions where his lack of power. I want to say he was projected to be a 10-15 hr player with a high batting average and ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field
Ichiro was a really great player, I'm happy to see him get in! Most recorded hits of any professional player if you count his Japanese career as well. I know the NPB competition level isn't as high as MLB, but 4,367 is still an impressive number!
Toronto Blue Jays legend Will Wagner's dad!
Can't argue with any of these but how is Ichiro not unanimous.
It pained me to trade Will but he's a second baseman and with Tuve it wasn't gonna work lol

The Jays like versatility. I am sure they will get him some play in LF. Maybe even 3B.

Yes he isn’t a power guy. I would say 10-15 sounds about right. Great contact hitter though.
Baseball writer ego.
My only thing is does it really go back almost 100 years or where these guys just assholes
Im a fan of Ichiro.
He is a legend.
Just because it was not unanimous doesnt make it any less so.
He is a superstar.
Griffey Jr. wasn’t unanimous. I lost all faith in these BB writers after that.
To make matters worse how is Mariano Rivera the only ever unanimous and freaking Hank Aaron wasn't?!? Same with Ty Cobb and Nolan Ryan?!?
It makes no sense. It’s arbitrary.
It's ridiculous.
