You must be a very affectionate and kind teacher. You'll cherish it forever I know. My primary teacher still remembers the card I gave her on Teachers' Day. We also celebrated in September, but ours is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Radhakrishnan on Sep 5.

I've always lived in a very small town. Most people here know each other. Another reason is that we in India place teachers above god. Apart from Teacher's Day, We've a special day "Guru Purnima", when we worship our Gurus.
