Hello Stackers!
It's Thursday so that means it's Throwback Thursday Time!
I'm going to give you a bunch of clues and I want you to guess the year and comment a song from that year. Highest ranked correct answer (by "top") gets the bounty. Entries close prior to "Feel Good Friday" Post.
🚨A guess without a correct song doesn't win, both your guess and the song must be from the correct year.🚨
Here we go!
  • Splendour in the Grass: A music festival in Byron Bay, Australia, headlined by PJ Harvey and Jurassic 5
  • Live at Wolf Trap: A concert by The Doobie Brothers in Vienna, Virginia
  • Free concert in Rome: A concert by Simon & Garfunkel in front of the Colosseum.
  • "Dimebag" Darrell Lance Abbott: Founding member and former guitarist of Pantera was killed. 🫡RIP

I love this song. To be fair, I really like Nickelback. They get hate because they're good.

This guy came out with one of the biggest tracks of my generation. It's still an absolute banger.

Not heard of these guys before, awesome sound, I liked them.

Their first album was really good. Not that big of a fan of this song, they have better ones but it’s their most popular track. I just really like the name of the band.

2004, gotta drop a Beasties track, since To the Five Boroughs is underappreciated.

Great choice. RIP 🫡 Adam and John.

Darrell Lance Abbott, better known by his stage name Dimebag Darrell, was an American musician. He was the guitarist for the heavy metal bands Pantera and Damageplan, both co-founded with his brother Vinnie Paul. He is regarded as one of the greatest metal guitarists of all time. In 2004, he was murdered in Columbus, Ohio, while performing with Damageplan. He was shot twice in the head and four times in the body. The perpetrator of the murder, Nathan Miles Gale, was shot dead on the scene by police officer James D. Niggemeyer minutes after the killing, while holding a staff member hostage.

From the album "Una temporada en el infierno" (A While in Hell), released January 6th 2004 (yes, good things also happen on that very day), by my all time favorite band, Fangoria, the song "Electricistas" (Electricians):
