It was just for fun. I think learning these enumeration tools is really useful because it helps you understand how things work. Sometimes just being able to list stuff is what unlocks your understanding

There may be too many tools if you install the whole Kali box. That gets a tad overwhelming for noobies. You might want to limit the array of tools you give him.
You might want to install it into a VirtualBox to minimize possible damages.
