You are right. I think that 25x is for people who aim for FIRE. I plan to work until 65 (because of two young kids), so 10x is sufficient for me haha

Having a personal net worth of 10 times the amount you need to live on is, by almost any definition, comfortable.

iirc the traditional view is 25x due to the "4% rule"
