No I don't appreciate the way they are playing but I recognize they have played well. 

I guess you know the difference between 'appreciate'  and "cheer up".

Eagles are playing well. I didn't say they weren't. Doesn't mean I will cheer for them.

I'll appreciate individual players who are playing well, but I refuse to hate the Eagles any less.

I'm not saying to do a bandwagon. But at least appreciate the team playing better.
