We learn UX design by doing, first diving deep into the problem space and then redesigning solutions based on that. They are made familiar with the problem space by first analyzing the app itself and then testing the app with people at the conference. Once we have made those observations our minds are deep in the understanding what users want and what friction points exist there. Then we feed this knowledge back to developers and also back to the ecosystem.
