Introduced by Illinois State Representative John Cabello, House Bill 1844 (HB1844) proposes the creation of a strategic Bitcoin (BTC) reserve as a “special fund in the state treasury for the purpose of holding Bitcoin as a financial asset.”
TBH, I'm quite surprised to see these states taking the lead while the new "Crypto" president is busy throwing trash out there.
Illinois, Texas and Arizona are the recent to propose bills for Bitcoin reserves, none of of the 17 states have passed them into law so far.
Bitcoin Laws is an an website with the details on these proposed bills and even has an interactive map which oranges every state that's proposed some kind of Bitcoin bill.
This site is doing good but I've found a map on twitter which enhances upon it.
