Another ink art portrait. This time I retouched the work in MS Paint. Very happy with the result. This was a good study, because MS Paint showed me exactly where I messed up. By dragging and chiseling I finally found the right balance.
Here's my edit list in order of importance.
  1. Eyes !!!
  2. Mouth
  3. Nose
  4. Chin
  5. Overall placement and ratios
Hair doesn't matter. Shape of face also not really. It is possible that I have these aspects already down, and why they're not important to me. However, this list is likely close to how humans identify faces. Eyes and mouth are the most expressive parts of the face, and so become are most discerning features.

This time I retouched the work in MS Paint.
I was going to ask how you made it look like a scan. I've been enjoying the series.

Thank you, sir.
I draw from reference photo (color). But before painting I render the scan through a monochromizer: https://monochrome.imageonline.co/
Then I draw the outline of face and features in pen and then add ink with brush. That's it. The painting takes about 45 min. Retouch was 2 hours, but well spent for education and final result.
Below the painting pre-retouch. Completely different person, unfo XD.

When you get a chance, attach a lightning address. We switched to a non-custodial setup so without a receiving wallet, you get something more like gift credits (which are comparatively lame).

I know. What's the quickest way to do it? I don't have a proper setup here to run my own node.

Do you have a custodial account somewhere that has a lightning address?
I linked to the form. You’d just input it there
