I've fielded a number of "is this a good time to buy BTC" type questions in the past.
this season, I'm getting questions about Fartcon and XRP instead.
have you noticed something similar?
whats the best answer for curious inquiry? I'm tempted to point them towards podcasts, but I suspect only one episode.. so what's the best?

Thanks! helpful.
I was hopeful that there would be something to address the XRP news, but the questions he suggests to identify a scam are good.

You're welcome :-)
I read on nostr the following: that XRP has only sold their XRP and never bought it. They said if it has value why haven't they bought it?

I too have fielded fartcoin queries of late.

It doesn't feel like that to me at all. I feel like "this cycle" has fewer people noticing Bitcoin. It feels like fewer people care about Bitcoin or shitcoins than in 2017 or 2021. It's a pure price mechanic, no emotions or enthusiasm. No influx of new people.

Every cycle this happens just tell them to stick with Bitcoin avoid the others and if they ignore you then just wait for you to be right

I's happened always, in every bull market, since 2017, since the POS (Piece of Shit) thingy showed up. It didn't happen on 2014 or earlier.

Yes. Meme coins and other trash.
The problem is that new folks are coming in adversarially, they want to rug a meme coin and make $100k “in 10 minutes”. It looks like free money. I’ve seen several YT videos pop up recently demonstrating how to rug the community via Liquidity Pools. Gross.
It’s a disgusting, exploitative perspective that doesn’t really have a place in sound money. This cycle is the super cycle of grift.
