Peter Akemann Case

Peter Tripp Akemann, a 56-year-old man from Culver City, has agreed to plead guilty to operating a drone in a hazardous manner during the Palisades Fire. On January 9, 2025, Akemann's drone collided with a Super Scooper firefighting aircraft, causing damage that grounded the plane for about five days. He faces up to one year in federal prison but has avoided jail time by agreeing to pay full restitution of at least $65,169 to the Government of Quebec and the repair company, and to complete 150 hours of community service in support of wildfire relief efforts.

A lot happening on that site. Pop ups that keep popping up. videos trying to play. I wanted to read the story but had to exit out. Did he crash it intentionally or was he trying to use it to film the fires and accidentally crashed into the plane?

reply

sorry about that

which browser are you using? I use Brave and have zero popups and videos

I will attach a summary

His lawyers say he was trying to film the fires. He launched his drone from a parking lot in Santa Monica.

I am not convinced

I am just using chrome right now. I got a new laptop and downloaded chrome so I could add my alby extension but didn't add any other browsers yet.
