pull down to refresh

I remember well reading psychology when I was around 18, earlier as well. To get my diploma I did that subject on my own, it was easy to read and the examiners were kinda moronic compared to math or physics of course!
Already back then all of Freud just reeked of something slimy, very negative and destructive to me. I preferred Jung by far, or of course Nietzsche and others where you get a feeling of fresh mountain air, not stagnant rooms full of neurotic fuckups.
It turns out that he probably did cover up the very same things that are now really coming to the surface, the things the rich and powerful never want you to know!
This is far from a pleasant thing to read, but it is necessary if you want to get to the root of all this psych-shit that makes us weaker in my opinion.

I encountered this theory somewhere recently, that some of Freud's work was designed to acquit friends of his that were abusing their children. Sad if true.

I heard another theory, that Freud was ahead of its time, and there weren't people who really understand his works. That's why most of them ignored his "Character and Anal Erotism" work.

That sounds very likely, yes...
