I fully agree and the 49ers probably should trade their 2025 and 2026 first round picks to get Garrett, rather than take the chance on a rookie this year. Two DPOY bookends on the line would be incredible.
If they come into the season fired up and stay healthy, they could easily be a 15-2 team.
The other issue for the Lions is that so many of their defensive players are coming back from serious injuries. Who knows if they'll even be at 100% of what they were (which was a mediocre defense)?
Agreed. They are likely going to pick a DT or DE at 11 anyways but instead you are getting Garrett. Next year's first rounder will likely be late first round anyways. I would do two first and their third round comp pick this year as well.
