The Red Bull Skydiving Team is, to put it mildly, insane. This guy jumps out of a helicopter for a long skydive, then a pilot in a small plane flies into the Grand Canyon, and the skydiver catches a hook on the plane and gets carried up (my arms hurt just watching) until he's high enough for yet another skydive.
You can skip ahead to 6:45 or so to see the actual event, but the background stuff is kind of fun, too.
One thing I love about this presentation is it's obvious that while what they're doing is very dangerous, they're not reckless. They're shown spent literally months carefully preparing and thinking through how to do it reasonably safely. Good example to set for aspiring viewers.
Yeah, these people are genuinely professionals who take this stuff seriously. Really enhances the experience for me.
Incredible but this is definitely not on my bucket list.
Same! I'm happy to never jump out of a plane at all.
