I'm thinking of it both in a sense of the internet hollowing out a previously vibrant network of geographically local *associations*.

Also think about it in the sense of self-appointed spokespersons of "The Trans Community" being contradicted by other trans folks.

It is primarily through working together in groups/communities that humans achieve wealth, power and security.
Libertarians might see communities as negative but they are fundamental to wealth creation and economic strength.
These are not semantic but demonstrable realities.

Not sure if labeling things "community" beyond town/provinces was ever more than a dead end leading to the hollowing out of towns/provinces.
