For me, I don't really ever think there's such a thing as too much information. As for misinformation, I sometimes fall for it but I'm always willing to be corrected. I also think I'm more discerning than most people because I'm trained to spot errors in logic / misinterpretation of data
That's cool. Maybe you can share "how we (untrained folks) should avoid it?

I was planning to make a Pleb Economist post about "refining your bullshit detector". Maybe it'll be the next one... but yeah there are a couple of things anyone can do to get better at spotting unsubstantiated claims

I love your Pleb Economists post. Now I'm already waiting for "refining your bullshit detector".
Would you like to post it here in ~healthandfitness? I think it'd be more relevant to HEALTH.

Haha, I think I'm committed to posting them in ~econ. If cross-posting is ever enabled, I might branch it out to other territories :)

I know 😂. @Undisciplined wins.
Cross posting should work like hashtags.
The territory owners should be given freedom to charge for their hashtags. If an 'OP' wants to post in different territories, the post will remain 'One' but it will show different tags under the title.

Agreed, they should basically be thought of as tags that a poster can pay to apply to their post
Do you have one or two books that inspired your bullshit detector that you would recommend?
