I'll be honest: I've got such a mixed feeling about my love of many sports -- including football and pro wrestling -- where head injuries are the norm. We know that there are so many short- and long-term consequences, and it's heartbreaking when stuff like this happens. I know that they all know the risks (at least nowadays), but I'm not sure anyone can really turn down the opportunities to make millions.
And yet, yes, I'm watching the Super Bowl tonight, so am probably contributing to someone else's brain injury.
That’s terrible.

I find wrestling and boxing too hard to watch. Anyway, RIP Cooney.

I've been following MMA for a long time and not only are the gloves smaller, but you can use your knees, elbows and legs. The UFC has a structure to support athletes, but it is impossible for there not to be consequences throughout the period, now imagine smaller events that exist around the world. This is very worrying.
